Kids Run the Bases at Nats Park

Kids aged 4-12 are invited to run the bases at Nationals Park after every Sunday afternoon home game, weather permitting. Kids Run the Bases takes place entirely inside the park. Participants line up at the GEICO Presidents Photo Station behind Section 131. Families with checked strollers at Main Guest Services should not pick up their strollers until after the event. The run begins approximately 20 minutes after the end of the game and lasts about an hour. Kids start their run at first base and are directed around the bases to home plate. Sliding into bases is prohibited. An adult must accompany each participating child to the field; adults drop children off at first base and meet them near home plate. (Adults may not accompany children as they run.) One adult is permitted onto the field per participating child. Here are the remaining dates this year: Aug. 9, vs. Reds; Aug. 30, vs. Marlins; Sept. 13, vs. Angels; Sept. 27, vs. Mets. www.mlb.com/nationals/fans/jr-nats/kids-run-the-bases
