The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) (1250 New York Ave NW) invites the community to explore the museum, chat with educators and create their own art at their open studio events.
The museum, which reopened to the public after extensive renovations in October, features a studio space on the 4th floor for kids and adults to explore their creative side.
The open studio events will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following dates:
- Sunday Jan. 7
- Wednesday Jan. 10
- Sunday Feb. 4
- Wednesday Feb. 14
- Sunday March 3
- Wednesday March 13
The open studio workshops are free and included with daily museum admission.
The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. Admission is $16 for adults, $13 for DC residents, visitors with disabilities and visitors under the age of 21 and over 70. Admission is free the first Sunday and second Wednesday of each month. Tickets are reserved as timed entry passes and must be reserved in advance even on free admission days.
