Tickets are on sale now for the Historic Congressional Cemetery’s “Soul Strolls” will return this fall with opportunities to explore the cemetery through lantern-lit walks and immersive performances.
This year’s theme, “Becoming America,” explores the tension between the nation’s founding ideals and the realities of American history through the stories of people interred at the cemetery. Costumed interpreters will share the true stories of those buried at Congressional Cemetery. The twilight tours will take place over six nights: Oct. 16 and 17, 23 and 24 and 30 and 31.
The cemetery has significantly increased this year’s tour capacity to allow thousands more visitors a chance to experience the event. Attendees are invited to enjoy live music and themed cocktails and snacks from food trucks throughout the evening. Costumes are encouraged.
Standard admission starts at $40 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under. Children ages 4 and under are free with adult admission. VIP packages start at $80 and include a private tour, a complimentary drink ticket, a swag bag and access to an exclusive character performance.
