An exciting line up of rock, folk, pop, opera, jazz and musical theater performances highlight the summer schedule at Music in the Circle.
This free outdoor concert series features live performances from local artists and a variety of family-friendly activities in Dupont Circle Park (6 Dupont Circle NW). This year, several events will also include several family-friendly events.
On Aug. 22, the Dupont Circle BID will host a “picnic raffle” with gift cards to local businesses for anyone attending the concert with a picnic. The event will also feature a back to school backpack giveaway for kids. On Aug. 29, bring your competitive spirit to the cornhole tournament. Teams of two are invited to participate in a friendly competition. The top three teams will receive gift cards to local neighborhood businesses.
Join in the fun on Saturday afternoons from 12 to 3 p.m. this summer on the following dates:
- Aug. 22: Dupont Brass
- Aug. 29: Rock Creek Kings
- Sept. 12: Opera and Musical Theater with Raymond Ghattas
- Sept. 19: Fruit Flies Band
All events are free and open to the public. The park has limited chair and bench seating. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets to sit on the grass. Reserve a spot to attend here.
