Every weekday through Friday, Aug. 28, the National Arboretum stays open until 8 p.m. The grounds are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The New York Avenue Gate closes at 2 p.m. The R Street Gate closes at 8 p.m. The arboretum closes at 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Last admittance is at 4:30 p.m. The New York Avenue Gate closes at 4:30 p.m. The R Street Gate closes at 5 p.m. The National Bonsai & Penjing Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., daily. The Visitor Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., daily. Access to restrooms and water after 4:30 p.m. is at Arbor House, the Grove Parking Lot or the Asian Collections Parking Lot.
