Holiday Pop-Ups at Union Market

Just in time for last minute holiday shopping, the Union Market District is hosting several locally owned holiday pop up shops at the Dock. Located adjacent to the market, you are sure to find something for everyone on your list at these unique boutiques.

Shops participating in the pop up include:

Rare Form: open through Dec. 31. At Rare Form find a curated collection of design-driven vintage objects. Co-founders Michelle Thomas and Rachel Cothran handpicked each item to add personality and provenance to modern lifestyles. In collaboration with Doyle, the pop-up also includes an exhibition of abstract paintings for sale by artist J. Bowyer Bell.

Bitter Grace: open through Dec. 31. Bitter Grace is a DC-based conscious clothing brand founded by Anne Marie Johnson. The pop-up offers a preview its new permanent location coming soon to the market.

Playhaus by Disco Mary: open Dec. 15 through spring 2024. This interactive pop-up focuses on fine arts, workshops and retail. This experiential space will encourage imagination and play.

Libby & My: open through Jan. 31. Curator and collector Libby Rasmussen features a selection of pieces from her favorite designers and purveyors.

Terratorie: open through Dec. 31. Torie Partridge, the founder and illustrator behind the brand many consider a ‘must-have piece of DC art’, celebrates the power of neighborhoods with illustrated maps, honoring the connection to all the places you have felt at home.

The Plaza at the Dock it’s a cultural and community epicenter in the Union Market District. In addition to hosting the Union Market District Farmers Market by Freshfarm every Sunday morning, the plaza also hosts a variety of events including fitness classes, movie nights and art exhibitions.
