Battling chefs, celebrity guests and your favorite DC restaurants are coming together to support DC Central Kitchen with a night of food, fun and entertainment you won’t want to miss. The 19th annual Capital Food Fight returns to The Anthem (901 Wharf St. SW) on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m.
Celebrity chef, humanitarian and event founder and chair José Andrés will host this year’s heated evening of competition between four local chefs from District favorites including Estuary, dLeña, Gravitas and All Set. The competitors will be judged by a line up of celebrity guests Ryan Zimmerman, Fariyal Abdullahi, Tom Collichhio, Rocco Dispirito and Justin Sutherland.
In addition to the competition, attendees will enjoy drinks and bites from more than 80 of the DMV’s best restaurants, bars and wineries. Local favorites including Ice Cream Jubilee, Namako, Morini, Figleaf, Joon, Rasa and more will be featured.
All proceeds from the Capital Food Fight, including the Nov. 9 event, donations and silent auction, support DC Central Kitchen. The nonprofit works to provide culinary job training, serve freshly prepared meals to the community and deliver fresh fruits and vegetables at a discount to small stores across the District.
