Experience art in all eight wards this weekend at Art All Night. On Sept. 29 and 30 from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., outdoor spaces, restaurants and local businesses will feature different activations of visual and performing arts.
This year’s event will showcase the painting, dance, photography, fashion, sculpture, theatre, film and musical talents of more than 100 District artists.
Each night will feature new activations and a variety of different installations, including family-friendly locations, live music destinations and more, across the District. You can view a map of all scheduled installations for Sept. 29 here and Sept. 30 here.
In addition to highlighting some of the District’s best artists, the event, sponsored by DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD), the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities Department (DCCAH), DC Public Library (DCPL), the DC Main Streets programs and the District’s Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), also serves to revitalize the District’s corridors and help increase foot traffic for nearby small businesses and restaurants.
DC Mayor Muriel Bowser expressed excitement about the event and the opportunity to celebrate artists across the city.
“We know that Washington, DC is the capital of creativity,” Bowser said. “Artists and makers across D.C. help us celebrate the history and culture of our community, and this weekend, we celebrate them.”
This event is free and open to the public. Visit dcartallnight.org for more information.
