
The National Symphony Orchestra is back with this year’s free Labor Day Concert. The show is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 3, on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol Building.
The concert will begin at 8 p.m. Security stations along the west lawn will open at 3 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-served and no advanced registration or ticket purchase is required to attend. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Kennedy Center Concert Hall.
The symphony will perform classics by John Williams, Duke Ellington, Florence Price, Johannes Brahms alongside modern works by today’s most prolific composers. The concert will also feature Grammy award winning guitarist Sharon Isbin.
