Join the NoMa BID for its six week celebration of art this fall at NoMa in Color.

Since 2016, the NoMa BID has hosted an annual mural festival and invited artists from around the world to paint murals on sidewalks, in alleyways and building facades. This year, the festival is being expanded from a 10 day celebration to a six week event.

This year’s celebration will take place from Sept. 9 through Oct. 19. In addition to the new mural installations, several public events will take place throughout the festival including:

  • The NoMa in Color Mural Festival Kickoff Party on Sept. 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m./ at Alethia Tanner Park (227 Harry Thomas Way NE) with live music, food vendors and a local market.
  • NoMa in Color Nights Out will take place every Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. beginning Sept. 14. The weeknight events will feature live music, local food and drinks and outdoor games for all ages.
  •  NoMa in Color Art Walk which allows residents to take a self-guided tour and discover some of the amazing murals, sculptures, and light art installations that earned NoMa the nickname of the “arts capital” of DC. Participants who check in to all 14 locations will be entered to win a $100 gift certificate to a NoMa business or restaurant.
