The East Building Atrium comes alive during NGA Nights. National Gallery of Art, Washington.

Due to high demand, the National Gallery of Art (Sixth and Constitution Ave NW) has implemented a lottery system for tickets to the final National Gallery Nights event on Thursday May 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The special after-hours event entitled “Homegrown” will celebrate the people and culture of the District through live music, pop-up talks, art installations and more. Local artists, including DC public school students, will be featured in addition to three live performances by Rare Essence at 6:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

All guests over the age of two need a pass for entry to the event. You can enter the lottery for up to two entry passes here until May 4 at 11:59 p.m. If you are not selected, 202 walk up passes will be available at the East Building entrance beginning at 5:30 p.m. the night of the event.

Results of the lottery will be announced Monday, May 8, at 10 a.m. You can learn more about the event and the gallery at nga.gov.
