Farmer’s Market Comes to Alethia Tanner Park Thursdays

Hey NoMa and Eckington Neighbors: Good news when it comes to getting your weekly fix of fresh fruits and veggies. Every Thursday evening from May to September, the NoMa Farmers Market will be serving up plenty of farm fresh produce and local groceries from 3-7 p.m. at Alethia Tanner Park (227 Harry Thomas Way NE).

Diverse Markets Management, with partners at the NoMa Business Improvement District, are pleased to announce a new farmers market in the Eckington neighborhood of NE DC to launch on Thursday, May 5.

The NoMa Farmers Market is located in one of DC’s largest and newest parks, Alethia Tanner Park, managed by the NoMa BID and its sister organization, the NoMa Parks Foundation.

Alethia Tanner Park opened in 2020 and features a host of amenities, including a large lawn, playground, dog park, gardens and a meadow, plaza areas, and a connection to the Metropolitan Branch Trail. The NoMa BID plans and hosts frequent and free special events for the community at the park, which are always well attended by the 13,000+ local neighbors who live in nearby rowhomes and apartment buildings and the 60,000+ workers whose offices are in NoMa.

The market will operate on Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m. each week from May through September.

A diverse group of local vendors will participate at the NoMa Farmers Market at Alethia Tanner Park each week. Vendors are subject to change.  See the lineup here:
